Text: The Black StudentUnion met Friday afternoon to plot a
strategy in an attempt to recover itsbudget for next year. BSU lost
its budget when it failed to turnin its request for next year.
At the meeting attended by about 35 students, BSU members
mentioned three steps for mobilization. The first will be a rally
held Wednesday at noon in Capen Lobby. BSU will also start a
letter campaign, sending notes to Student Association Senators
and the campus publications. The third step will have BSU
members showing up at the Senate meeting Thursday.
While the focus of the one-hour meeting was on regaining the
funding, several BSU members voiced their discontent with the
current
BSU board, none of whom were present at the gathering.
