BSU Will Wait For
Election OfNew VP
SCOTT LINDLAW

The Black Student Union has
opted to not hold a special election
to fill its vacant vice president
position.
According to BSU President Kurt
Young, a special election will not
be possible because the Elections
and Credentials Committee will be
too busy with the upcoming SA
elections.
Young said that while an interim
vice president may be elected, it is
more likely that the organization
will wait until its regular elections
after spring break.
The vice presidential spot has
been vacant since Young left it to
fill the void left when Oswaldo
Mestre resigned the presidency in
early February.
BSU President Kurt Young
Young said the vice presidency
ofBSU is an important job, but was
confident that the organization will
run smoothly without one.
"We have a lot of hard-working
people, so we will be able to func
tion well until the regular elections,"
he said.
