Conference on
BLACK ARTS
The purposes of this conference are to display and discuss the development of
cultural programs in the inner city, and to solicit support from University
faculty and students as well as indigenous community leaders. The following
is a basic outline of our program:

Workshop on "Black Performing Arts"

Open workshop.
Conference theatre, Norton Union
Dramatic presentation of Yeroi Jones' "The Dutchman" by the African
Cultural Center. Donation - $1.00 minimum.
Open Jam session with Archie Shepp, Mel Brewer, and others. Free.
Haas Lounge, Norton Union
The Melnee Christian Workshop for the Performing Arts Presents:
the New BLACKS. Donation - $1.00 minimum. Baird Hall
Wednesday, January 29
7 - 10 p.m.
Repeat performance of the dance troupe.
There will be a continuous showing of paintings and sculpture by the Masten
Community Workshop, Magnus Harrell, Ken Moody and Robert Sinclair. This will
be held in rooms 333-4, Norton Union.
